Chief Johnnie C. Walter Jr.
Serving in law enforcement since 1990:
First with Metropolitan DC Police for 26 years retiring as Sergeant.  Appointed by Sheriff Bohrer to Chief Deputy in 2017.

Specialization: Patrol, Narcotics and Tracking K-9's Handler, Instructor with International Bloodhound Training Institute and Sleuth Hounds LLC., Police Motor Operator and Instructor, Evidence Technician, Hazmat Technician, Protective Security, Active Shooter Training and Civil Disturbance Trained.
I reside in Berkeley Springs with my wife, Terri, and our two dogs.

Hobbies: Hunting, Fishing, Motorcycles, Dogs, and spending time with family.

Captain Tim Stapleton
Serving: Morgan County for 24 years

Specialization: Senior most ranking officer in department. 24 years of law enforcement experience. Serves as the executive officer and in charge of all major investigations.

Lieutenant Seth Place
Serving: Law Enforcement 18 years experience.

Specialization: Patrol Commander and Evidence Officer.
Teaches DARE. Veteran.

Jeremy Burkholder
Serving: 12 Years in Law Enforcement. First with Harpers Ferry Police Department, and next Paw Paw Police Department before joining the MCSD in 2019.

 


Bradley Knotts
Serving: First as a WVU Police Officer from March 2019 until being hired as a Morgan County Deputy in September 2020.

 


Paul Hustler
Serving: Part time as both a Deputy in law enforcement and as a Court Security Officer. Paul served 31 years with the Metropolitan Police Department and Pittsburgh Housing Authority Police before retiring from DC Police.

 


William "Bill" Carper, Jr.
Serving: Formerly an officer in Jefferson County for many years and has recently started his familiarization period with a senior Deputy Sheriff.

 


Jesse Hedrick

Serving: US Marine Corp veteran and served with the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department for approximately three years. He and his wife are relocating to the eastern panhandle.

Serving: Ttenured officer from Jefferson County and also serves with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department.

 

 


Ryan Diehl

Serving: Graduate of Berkeley Springs HIgh School and University of Maryland. Well known in the community as a stellar wrestler. Ryan will soon. Be attending the West Virginia State Police Academy.
